During the reign of King Ferdinand I of Hungary in the 16th century, country assemblies and other events were organized in the building, but it had also been functioning as an inn and restaurant for quite some time. B\u00f3nis Ferenc was sentenced to death in this building on April 10, 1671 because of his participation in the Wessel\u00e9nyi-conspiracy.
