The railway company connected the Prussian Silesia with Hungary.@The company's seat was located in Budapest, while its directorates were in Kassa and Teschen (Silesia). The western wing of the eclectic palace was completed in 1915, while its eastern wing was only finished in 1927.@After Kassa returned to Hungary in 1938, the National Hungarian Technical Museum was opened in the building on 11 November 1943. Its collection remained in Kassa after the Soviet invasion and the recreation of Czechoslovakia in 1945.
