Since 1984 it has housed the Szatm\u00e1r County Museum. The museum was founded in 1901 by Hungarians. The objects collected by the K\u00f6lcsey Circle, founded in 1892 in Szatm\u00e1rn\u00e9meti, formed the core of the collection.
