1332
At this time, the church of the village was already mentioned in the papal tithe register.
1444
A new church was built in honour of the Assumption.
1478
The sanctuary was completed.
Late 15th - early 16th century
The gate tower was built.
15th-16th century
The oval-shaped defensive wall was built in response to Turkish raids. The church is surrounded by the highest, 8 m high, defensive wall in Csík, with a covered wall-walk and loopholes.
1796
A new Baroque nave was built and only the sanctuary remains in its original Gothic style.
