In 1912, the construction of a modern sewerage and drinking water network in the town began under the direction of engineer Stan Vidrighin. This was also when the water tower in J\u00f3zsefv\u00e1ros (Josephtown) and the water tower in the Gy\u00e1rv\u00e1ros (Factory town) were built.
